詹姆斯·斯图尔特（James Stewart ，1908年5月20日—1997年7月2日）， 出生于美国宾夕法尼亚州，美国影视男演员，毕业于普林斯顿大学建筑系。 1935年进入好莱坞。1938年出演弗兰克·卡普拉执导的爱情喜剧《浮生若梦》。1939年出演喜剧影片《史密斯先生到华盛顿》，凭借史密斯先生一角获得了第12届奥斯卡最佳男主角奖提名 ，以及纽约影评人协会奖的最佳男主角 。1941年凭借与凯瑟琳·赫本合作的爱情喜剧影片《费城故事》获得了第13届奥斯卡金像奖最佳男主角奖 。二战时曾效力于美国陆军航空队。1946年凭借奇幻影片《生活多美好》获得了第19届奥斯卡金像奖最佳男主角提名 。1950年凭借奇幻影片《迷离世界》获得了第23届奥斯卡和金球奖最佳男主角提名。1954年与格蕾丝·凯利合作出演阿尔弗雷德·希区柯克的悬疑类惊悚影片《后窗》。1958年主演阿尔弗雷德·希区柯克执导的悬疑影片《迷魂记》。1960年凭借影片《桃色案件》获得奥斯卡最佳男主角奖提名、纽约影评人协会奖最佳男主角、及威尼斯影展最佳男主角奖 。1976年的《英雄本色》是他的最后一部具代表性的西部影片。1980年获美国电影研究院授予的终身成就奖。1983年获颁美国平民最高荣誉“总统自由勋章” 。1985年获第57届奥斯卡金像奖终身成就奖。 1997年7月2日，詹姆斯·斯图尔特在洛杉矶逝世，享年89岁。1999年，他被美国电影学会评为“百年来最伟大的男演员”第3位。
