George W. Campbell is a director/screenwriter/editor from Bowie, Maryland, whose films focus on themes of family and personal relationships. As a Nicaraguan-American filmmaker, he aims to highlight specific parts of his culture and personal experiences (songs, dances, foods, and language).
George recently interned with Docs In Progress, a Silver Spring-based filmmaking nonprofit. In fall of 2024, his documentary short Dual Citizens was accepted to six different film festivals, including the Micheaux Film Festival in Culver City, CA. He graduated from Stevenson University with a Bachelor of Science in Film and is eager to begin working on his next project.
