杨紫琼（Michelle Yeoh），1962年8月6日出生于马来西亚霹雳州怡保，祖籍中国福建，马来西亚籍华裔女演员、制片人，毕业于英国皇家舞蹈学院。 1983年，当选马来西亚小姐冠军。1984年，出演个人首部电影《猫头鹰与小飞象》而正式出道。1985年，主演《皇家师姐》系列电影转型女打星。1988年，嫁给香港富豪潘迪生，婚后息影。 1992年，以成龙的动作电影《警察故事3：超级警察》复出。1997年，凭借007系列电影《明日帝国》打开好莱坞市场。2001年，主演的电影《卧虎藏龙》荣获第73届奥斯卡、第58届金球奖最佳外语片，并凭借该电影提名第54届英国电影学院奖最佳女主角。2002年，担任第55届戛纳国际电影节主竞赛单元评委。2014年，主演袁和平执导的电影《卧虎藏龙2》。 2001年，被苏丹册封马来西亚霹雳州拿督 ，成为马来西亚第一位演艺界华裔女艺人受此封衔 [9] 。2002年，杨紫琼获得“世界杰出青年大奖”，也是首位获得此荣誉的华人女性。2007年获颁法兰西文学艺术骑士勋章 。2008年，获得影响世界华人大奖，同年任联合国全球道路安全形象大使 。2009年，被美国《人物》杂志评选电影史上35位大美人。2012年3月14日，从时任法国总统萨科齐手中接过法国至高荣誉勋章 。2013年5月被马来西亚国家元首封勋丹斯里勋衔 。
