平野勝之

Directing Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

Born in Shizuoka, 1964. Aspiring cartoonist until the age of 18, when he began filmmaking. After being selected for the Pia Film Festival three years in a row, 1985 to 1987, he began to direct adult-experimental-video in 1990. Yumika, the first Hokkaido-bike-trip film, had its theatrical debut in 1997. Encyclopedia of a Drifter, the second in the bike-trip series came out in 1998. The White, finished in 1999, concludes the three part bike-trip series.
