海伦·米伦 Helen Mirren 1945年出生在英国伦敦，祖父是白俄罗斯的移民，父亲在1917年苏联革命成功后逃到英国伦敦，一家人在那里扎下根。当演员之前，为了应付父母要她从事高尚的职业的要求，海伦·米伦当过三年教师，直到22岁，海伦·米勒终于说服父母当上演员。 奥斯卡影后 1965年主演舞台剧《埃及艳后》，因表现出色而在两年后加入了皇家莎士比亚剧团。1968年她在影片《仲夏夜之梦》中出演角色，自此在大西洋两岸的影剧圈奔忙，演出各种不同的角色。1969年出演了影片《沙滩上的夏娃》，1972年出演了影片《野蛮救世主》，1973年出演了影片《幸运儿》，1980年出演了影片《漫长美好的星期五》。1981年因为出主演影片《恩怨情天》赢得了戛纳电影节最佳女主角。1985年出演了影片《白夜逃亡》，1986年出演了影片《蚊子海岸》。1989年她出演了影片《情欲色香味》，这部颇有些惊世骇俗的影片引起了不小的反响。1991年她出演了影片《谜情杀机》和《伦敦落雾》。1994年以《疯狂乔治王》获奥斯卡女主角奖提名，从而知名度大增，此外，她也演出了不少电视影集。近年她又在影片《日历女孩》、《赎金危情》、《流行教母》中出演。2006年她出演了《女王》，在其中扮演英国女王伊丽莎白二世，其精湛的演技为她赢得了2006年底到2007年初几乎所有颁奖典礼的最佳女主角，并问鼎第79届奥斯卡金像奖影后。
