俄國革命家、馬克思主義主要理論家、蘇聯政治家和政治家，俄國社會民主工黨“布爾什維克”的創始人，俄國1917年十月革命的主要組織者和領導者，蘇聯人民委員會第一任主席RSFSR 和蘇聯人民委員會，第一個社會主義國家世界歷史的創造者。 馬克思主義者、政治家、思想家和第三（共產）國際的締造者，蘇維埃社會主義共和國聯盟的創始人。 主要政治、新聞著作範圍為唯物主義哲學、馬克思主義、反資反帝理論、進行社會主義革命、建設社會主義和共產主義的理論與實踐、社會主義政治經濟學。 對弗拉基米爾·烏里揚諾夫（列寧）的歷史作用的意見和評估極為極端。 無論對列寧活動的評價是正面的還是負面的，甚至許多非共產主義學者都認為他是世界歷史上最重要的革命政治家。
